Thank you to all our awesome volunteers that contributed to the great result for the Greens in Newcastle.

Charlotte has delivered the highest Green vote in Newcastle history - local, state or federal - and, as of writing, the fifth best Greens vote across NSW.

At booths like Islington, Tighes Hill, Newcastle East, Cooks Hill, Wickham and Hamilton, one in three people backed Charlotte and chose Greens - these were among the top Green booths across a state that includes Byron Bay and Newtown.

More people switched to a Green vote for the first time than ever before, and that's because Charlotte is a candidate who demonstrates every day that integrity, commitment and compassion is worth voting for.

This is a historic win for the Greens and for Newcastle and we couldn’t have done it without the help of out dedicated volunteers and campaign workers. So congratulations to you all for giving us a future to look forward to.
