This November, join the largest peaceful civil disobedience protest for climate action in Australia’s history, at the world’s largest coal port at Muloobinba (Newcastle), on Awabakal and Worimi land and water.
Thousands of people are coming together to blockade ship for 30 hours (including overnight). We’re demanding that our governments stop allowing new coal projects, and instead tax fossil fuel export profits at 75% to fund community and industrial transition, and pay for climate loss and damage.
It will be a fun and family-friendly gathering, with live music and speakers and food shared by donation.
Borrow one of our kayaks, or bring your own vessel – a kayak, tinny, yacht or surfboard!
Friday: Action training & planning.
Saturday: Flotilla blockade begins 10am, live music, speakers, kids’ activities.
Sunday: Flotilla blockade ends 4pm, more music & family-friendly fun.
Monday: Next steps in planning the movement to protect our planet.
