Siobhan Isherwood - Councillor for Ward 3

Your Greens Councillor for Ward 3

I'm Siobhan Isherwood, I’m your elected Greens councillor for Newcastle Ward 3. I joined Council mid-term following a countback election triggered by the sudden loss of our friend and colleague, Sinead Francis-Coan.

I am an environmental and conservation scientist passionate about delivering sustainable and equitable outcomes through holistic planning and governance. I have worked in the renewable energy and NGO sector and on bush regeneration, community engagement and policy advocacy projects.

I feel very privileged to be a Greens Councillor in Newcastle, and look forward to representing the people of Ward 3 and Newcastle on the issues that matter to you.

I currently sit on the Access and Inclusion Committee and the Youth Council and some of the issues I have been involved with recently include protection of bushland in the city, a transition plan for the greyhound industry and bringing buses back into public hands.

You can get in touch with me at [email protected].
