With the Newcastle Greens now the 2-party-preferred opposition in the Newcastle Federal seat, this is the moment to show Newcastle that we have a plan and the momentum to unseat Labor in the upcoming State election. 

Around the world, communities are choosing courage over cynicism. From the inspiring UK Greens Hannah Spencer's win in Greater Manchester to Zohran Mamdani’s mayoral victory built on grassroots energy and people-powered politics, voters are proving that when we organise, we win. Newcastle can be part of that story. 

But to deliver on this story, we need to consider the pressing issues facing the Hunter. From mould in the Mater to Newcastle's privatised buses, unreliable ferries that could be replaced with electric, and politicians who should be fully accountable, we want to know what makes you tick.

With 10 months to the NSW State Election on Saturday, 13 March 2027, it is now time for the Newcastle Greens to prepare for our State election strategies. 

If you are a long-time volunteer or have just recently joined for the Lord Mayor Election Campaign, we'd love to have you along for the afternoon to help build out our timeline and goals.  

Newcastle Greens will be campaigning in both Wallsend and Newcastle electorates, so there will be plenty to work on to decide on the key issues we’re going to be campaigning on.
