Every year, the Newcastle Greens host an event to welcome our new members and supporters, and invites all existing members to join us as well.

This year we'll be meeting on Sunday 17th of September at Hunter Workers from 2:00pm till 4:30pm.

The event will cover all elements of being a Greens member and it's a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

We'll explain how we fit into the Global Greens movement, and Greens Senator Mehreen Faruqi will talk to us about our federal representatives.

We'll also have NSW Upper House Greens MP, Abigail Boyd explain our NSW MPs and their portfolios, and our two Newcastle Councillors, John Mackenzie and Charlotte McCabe will cover our council representation.

By the end of the session,  we hope you will have some new insights into our Greens movement and that you're aware of all of the options for becoming more involved if that's what you're interested in.

The event will be held in a fully accessible room at Hunter Workers, and afternoon tea will be provided.

These events are always full of energy and excitement as we continue to bring new members and supporters into our local group.
