Join us to clean our beautiful Throsby Creek on Sunday 4th of December at low tide in the Carrington Boardwalk.
This area is well known for collecting floating plastics and other rubbish, so it's an important area to clean regularly before this dangerous litter floats back out to sea.
Location:
We will meet at 12.30pm next to the Elizabeth end of the Carrington boardwalk.
Transport:
Cycling: Ride in along the beautiful Throsby St cycleway
Kayak: There's a beach for easy entry and exit with kayaks between the Carrington mangroves and the industrial Drive bridge.
Driving: Car park is adjacent to the Ausgrid Carrington substation, on Elizabeth St, opposite the beginning of the boardwalk.
Remember to bring:
-Hat
-Sunscreen
-Insect repellant
-Water
- Gloves if you have them (we will also have gloves to share)
-Please bring shoes that you can walk into the mangroves with. It's important that they are closed shoes and something that you're ok to get a bit wet and muddy.
We will have some rubbish hooks for those who would prefer to collect rubbish from on the boardwalk.
Looking forward to seeing you there
Charlotte
