Newcastle Greens Federal Election Campaign Launch

Date: 11am, Friday 23rd August at  279 Hunter St, Newcastle CBD.

This is the official launch of Michael Osborne’s campaign for the seat of Newcastle. It’s a great opportunity for you to meet with Michael and to better understand the policies and positions that he will be taking to Canberra.

If you can make it, please come dressed in your Greens colours!

National Day of Action against PNG plan for asylum seekers

Date: 11:30am, Saturday 24th August at the Stockton Ferry arrival near Brewery

Refugee supporters across the nation will stage protests against the government’s latest evil policies on the Day of Action. Meet on the Newcastle side – Stockton Ferry arrival near the Brewery, Arrive by boat (ferry) if you wish.  March past Sharon Grierson’s office, then to Civic Park – to dovetail nicely with the Marriage Equality rally at 1.00pm

Newcastle Marriage Equality Rally

1:00pm, Saturday 24th August at Civic Park in the Newcastle CBD

Campaigners and supporters of Marriage Equality will be gathering in Civic Park before the Federal election to rally and march through the city in support of equality. We’ll decorate the park with love, rainbow crossings, and chant a few chants.

We will be hitting the streets to show the politicians that no matter who wins the election we will not be silent until we have full equality!

Please invite your family, friends and dress up if you like. Bring your banners, flags and chalk for the DIY rainbow crossings.
