We still don’t know the date of the federal election – the earliest date is 31st of August, but it could otherwise be in mid-October & could even be as late as the end of November.
But we’re not waiting on Kevin to decide – the campaign for the seat of Newcastle has shifted a gear this week with the launch of our bus-stop and online advertising, and our doorknocking and letterboxing campaigns. We’ve also purchased the Green Machine – the campaign caravan that will be geared up as the official HQ. Keep an eye out for it!
As campaign activity ramps up, there are a couple of things that you might be able to help us out with.
We are currently looking at our options to set up for postering, distribution, & booth kits. As you know we traditionally have an office – we may still do this, but we are also looking at the possibility of using a warehouse or hall. If you have any contacts or know of any halls that we could use could you please contact us.
We are still looking more people who would like placards or posters for their front yard. We are getting a list together, and they will be ready shortly.
If you are keen to be involved in doorknocking & letterboxing, please let us know. Our current priority areas are Cooks Hill, The Hill and Hamilton South. If you live in or nearby these suburbs, we’d love you to contact us.
