PLEASE COME TO THE NEWCASTLE CITY COUNCIL MEETING THIS TUESDAY, 8th NOVEMBER, WHEN THE DA WILL BE PUT TO THE VOTE – TO RALLY on the TOWN HALL STEPS from 4.30 pm & TO PACK THE PUBLIC GALLERY.
The following message, and attachment & photo, are from Kim Ostinga of the Friends of King Edward Park:
“Next Tuesday (8th Nov) the Council will vote on the fate of the King Edward Park Headland Reserve, and there is a better than even chance that it will be taken away from the public for all time, and handed over to commercial interests. The public has been conned into accepting a Plan of Management which the decision makers in the state and council public service have ignored. We need a crowd to gather on the steps of the Town Hall and pack the corridors during the vote.”
Below is a photo from the DA showing how the DA occupies all the southern boundary and most of the space.”
