Regional Greens Meeting, 29th May

Regional Greens meetings are held approx. quarterly, as an opportunity for the Hunter Greens Local Groups to report on their current activities, and liaise re major campaigns such as Tillegra Dam, coal/climate change issues, election campaigns etc. The four groups involved are Newcastle, Maitland, Cessnock-Kurri and Upper Hunter, and the meeting locations alternate between the areas.

The next meeting will be hosted by Upper Hunter Greens at SINGLETON on SATURDAY, 29th MAY, and any interested Newcastle members would be very welcome to participate.

The meeting will be held from 12.00 – 3.00 pm (including a lunch break). The venue is at 74 George Street, Singleton (on right-hand side of New England Highway as approaching bridge over Hunter River).

In addition, at 10.00 am there’ll be morning tea and a briefing on Upper Hunter coal issues, then a field trip to Camberwell to meet with local community members affected by coal mining.

Ross Edmonds will be attending on behalf of Newcastle Greens and is happy to take other members in his car. If you’d like a lift, please contact Ross on 4023 3509 or:
