A real education revolution in our universities

While Kevin Rudd only announced some additional scholarships and research positions yesterday, Bob Brown and Kerry Nettle spoke to a packed crowd at Sydney University announcing a plan for a real revolution in higher education.

The Greens would repair the decade of John Howard’s damage to our universities and reinvigorate higher education.

The Greens plan includes a major reinvestment in university teaching and research, abolishing undergraduate fees and forgiving HECS debts, boosting ABSTUDY and putting in place a real living allowance for students.

The National Tertiary Education Union welcomed the plan.
